Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house with a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Document numbers, names, website and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They website should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
